Orbital Game Jam recruits its future committee

Orbital Game Jam is a hackathon whose main theme is video games, but which can also cover games in the broader sense (board games, etc.). Participants, grouped in teams, are asked to create a game within a limited timeframe, usually a weekend, over 24 to 72 hours. Some jams also feature a theme, to add a further constraint for players. The Orbital Game Jam is a fun weekend during which participants get together in small teams to create an entire game. Video games, board games, anything goes.

The event takes place at EPFL's Satellite bar in March. Most of the work involves contacting partners during the first semester, then preparing the event during February-March, including creating a theme, preparing communications, and organizing food and prizes. It's a great first experience in the non-profit sector, as the event has been running smoothly for three years now, and I've met some great people who are dedicated to creation, in an atmosphere that's a bit different from traditional, competition-oriented hackathons.
